US President Donald Trump claimed in a post on the social media Truth Social that economically distressed Iran is not able to pay regular salaries to members of a large part of its military. At the same time, he also alleged that the country’s security forces are torturing at an unprecedented level. Trump claims that people who did not participate in the protest are also victims of violence.
Trump said the situation in Iran has now become a serious humanitarian crisis and needs to be stopped immediately. Meanwhile, the Trump administration has announced plans to impose the toughest economic sanctions ever on Iran.
Earlier in another post on Monday, Trump claimed that Iran is on the verge of complete destruction or collapse.
