The government has been attacked by ghosts: Salim Uddin

Date:

Mohammad Salim Uddin, member of the central executive council of Jamaat-e-Islami and Amir of Dhaka Metropolitan North, has called upon the manpower of all levels, including the unit responsible, to play a miserable and uncompromising role in the field to establish a society of justice and justice and make the country an Islamic welfare state.

He said that the government has engaged in a deep conspiracy with the July Charter to fulfill the illegal political ambitions of becoming fascist and dictatorial. They campaigned for ‘yes’ in the July charter and referendum but have been haunted after coming to power. They are now backward like ghosts in everything.

He urged the government to withdraw from its anti-people position and immediately call a meeting of the Constitution Reform Council and take effective steps to implement the July Charter.

Jamaat-e-Islami said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the unit representative conference organized by Uttara Paschim Thana of Dhaka Metropolitan North at a local auditorium in Uttara of the capital on Monday.

Salim Uddin said, Islamic movement is not a traditional politics but an uncompromising movement for the welfare and liberation of humanity. Here power is not a matter of enjoyment but the name of a strong conviction to establish the rights of the people. But it is a sad fact that the post-independence governments did not show much success in establishing human rights and building ideal states but turned power into a source of self-improvement.

He said, even though the July revolution showed us a new light of hope, the current rulers could not come out of the old evil circle of the past. As a result, the revolution we have achieved is about to be lost. The rulers are not trying to trample the revolution achieved at the cost of hundreds of thousands of lives. In such a situation, no self-conscious person of the country can remain indifferent. He was inspired by the spirit of July and called upon everyone to unite again regardless of party affiliation.

Salim Uddin said that the people will not accept any hesitation regarding the July Charter but will force the government to implement constitutional reforms and the July House.

Under the chairmanship of Thana Amir Mazharul Islam and under the direction of Secretary Feroz Alam, Naib Amir Engineer Golam Mastofa of Dhaka Metropolitan North and President of Metropolitan Ulama Division Dr. Meem Atiqullah.
